Alright everyone! Safe and sound in India. It may be a little until I can get photos up (which sucks cuz I have some amazing pictures of Paris) because the computer I am on does not have a USB plug thing. The computer is a SAMTRON, and looks like something I had in my room when I was 11.
First Paris:
Wow... what a good time! I had so many adventures there, and also met some really cool travellers. I went to the catacombs there.. wait til you see the pictures! It is deep in the underground of Paris. You walk down a winding staircase for a long time until you reach these dep dark tunnels. Nobody accompanied me down so it was pretty scary. Next thing you know you are surrounded by strategically placed bones... miles of them on either side of you, stacked like firewood. THey used the skulls to decorate in shapes between the femurs and what not. It was really damp, there was some sort of funky water dripping from the ceiling. I picked up a skull and my hands smelled like dead people funk all day! Preety amazing really.
I met up with a bunch of other solo travellers. We discussed how we don't think Americans know how easy it is to travel. Some people were out for months, others years, another was Peacecorps Rob who was on a layover on his way back to his hut in Africa. I ended up spending an entire day with this couple from Wisconsin who decided to travel the world for a year to celebrate their one year anniversary. Thats romance right there.
THings I did in France: Saw the grave of Jim Morison, Oscar Wilde, Chopin, and Edith Piaf to name a few. It was the coolest cemetary I have ever seen in my life. Can't wait to post the pictures, although it was sad because somone stole the statue off of JIm's grave after the Door's movie came out. Okay what else... The Louvre, Mona Lisa, Venus di' milo, the mummy of Osiris, Montemarte, Van gogh's favorite eatery, red wine, the Fromage Platter, Kisses of the french persuasion next to the river where Amelie likes to skip rocks, Notre Dame, the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen from a bridge across from the eiffel tower, a room that glowed purple from the hotel sign... and so much more! But you want to hear about India right?
India
Order in chaos, a million things happening all at once. Lizards that crawl along the wall to catch winged bugs. A bucket for a shower. A city that has been squashed in between sections of a jungle. It is truly fantastic! There is so much going on everywhere you look. Horns are always honking, not because you did anything wrong, but to let you know they are there. Auto rickshaws (little 3 wheeler car things) are zipping around you. People are selling the most odd interesting things from huts all along the streets. Then there in my sanctuary at the Yoga center. It is but a step from the chaos and the chaos is still around loud and clear. Airplanes pass overhead so close I feel like I could reach out my window and touch them. It is like a rainforest with buildings in between. There are other girls in my dorm from Brazil, Puerto Rico, and Jersey. All very sweet and helpful to me and my culture shock. I sleep under a mosquito net, though I have yet to see a mosquito. I hear they will be coming out soon now that monsoon season is past. Speaking of monsoons, the most beautiful storm put me to sleep last night. The food is SO delicous and the tea is the best I have ever had. I'm going to see if I can volunteer in the kitchen so that I can make you all some yummy grub on my return. Plus everything is SO cheap! To use the internet is 15 rupees an hour which is about 30 cents. Well I better go, but I love and miss you all!
Oh read my joke... it's funny

pshht You don't know?
Namaste
