The biggest debate of this trip was whether to go to Mui Ne (a sundrenched beach-lovers paradise with nothing of cultural interest) versus Dalat (a mountainous inland village full of traditional Vietnamese heritage... or so the Lonely Planet guide says... how would we know? We chose Mui Ne)

There is nothing here except one main road, a ton of hotels, and a beach that's a closer walk than most of the toilets. The beach weather was wonderful, the nightlife was quiet, but didn't matter because the beach weather was wonderful. I'm repeating myself. Other tourists have apparently spent weeks at Mui Ne alone. You could do that. We sure wouldn't mind another few days, especially now as we have just entered smoky, noisy Saigon.

Catch you later
