After perhaps a few too many drinks we got up and cleaned our cabin and headed off. On our way back, before going down the range, we stopped at the Sky Window. It offered a fantastic view down out across the valley towards Mackay. After an uneventful drive back to Rockhampton, we unloaded the car and Henning, Torben and I headed off to climb Mount Jim Crow picking Nick up along the way. Mount Jim Crow is a volcanic plug and is very steep, although we managed to scramble up fairly quickly. It was well worth the effort, with 270° picturesque views all the way out to the Keppels. However, exactly on week later at the same time in the afternoon, I saw a rescue helicopter winching someone to safety!
