There are whales almost year round off the coast of Monterey. You can see Killer Whales, Grey Whales, Blue Whales and all sorts of dolphins not to mention the sea otters closer to shore along with sea lions and seals. The chop can be high and the boat right a bit rough but it is well worth it.
