When we got up in the morning, it was cold and rainy outside -- yuck!

We were thankful that we had beautiful weather the day before, and decided that maybe it would clear up again.

Since we definately had to be on the road on Sunday to head back to Venice for class Monday morning, Josko suggested that we head to another island half-way back to the Marina where our car was.

We all showered - high class accomodations in the marina - and then had lunch at the marina restaurant.

The food was delicious!  Lauren, Chris and Kevin got fresh fish (Kevin, who never ate fish, may have been converted after this trip), Abbey got delicious seafood risotto and Jen had some delicious Gnocchi.

After lunch, we headed back to the boat.

Sidebar: Jen's favorite movie is What About Bob (to which Abbey responded: "oooh, yikes - I don't know if we can be friends anymore").

Ever since talk of the sailing adventure emerged, Jen has been quoting the film's oh-so-famous (and, Jen claims, oh-so-funny) line -- "I'M SAILING!  I'M A SAILOR!!" as Bob is strapped to the front of the boat.

In need of a great new facebook picture, Jen emulated Bob and we all took pictures from across the marina.

The Cro-ats officialy think we are crazy, with our flip-flops in 20 degree weather taking pictures of our friend tied to the front of the freakin' boat.

We love it.

Back to the day:

The sky was clear - no rain at least - and the sun was trying to peak out of the clouds... but, was it windy!

As we sailed we were all bundled up - Chris and Lauren were smart enough to bring north-face rain coats, while Abbey had to resort to a fleece blanket; but, it wasn't so bad.

Jen took a dramamine and napped down in the warm cabin - probably a smart idea!

We arrived at the island of Brac (pronounced Brach -- we really don't understand these crazy cro-ats and their crazy pronunciations) and the small town of Milna, which was adorably small.

Since it was cold, we were the only crazy tourists taking a "holiday" - but we were ok with that!

We walked around the small town, and Abbey took a million pictures of the locals - the town was beautiful, with a very old, preserved, untouched, uncommercialized feel.

There was a wedding going on in the main beautiful chappel that was hunderds of years old (from Roman rule of the coast), and we got to listen to a woman with a beautiful voice sing Ave Maria - the song drifted out of the church and across the natural bay, and it was really magical (not to sound like a giant cheese-ball).

It started to sprinkle a little, and we had pretty much walked the entire city in 15 minutes (it was that small!) so we headed back to the boat for some warmth.

Kevin had to give a presentation first thing Monday morning for class, and had some reading and preparation to do, so he settled in to a cafe with some gelato and espresso -- what a good student.

The rest of us wrapped ourselves in the fantastic fleece blankets on board and settled in for some cards.

We tried to play Cribbage but couldn't figure out the instructions... how many law students does it take to figure out a freakin' card game?  Obviously more than 4.

Chris decided to teach us to play Spades -- it took us a few minutes to get the hang of it but finally we got it (though we are clearly the SLOWEST card players ever -- it was almost painful the thought we were putting in to this game).

Chris and Jen ended up kicking Abbey and Lauren's ass -- so much for beginners luck.

Kevin came back to the boat around 6, and we were all pretty hungry -- urns out all we really had left in the way of food on board was a jar of nutella and some really foul brie -- which Kevin accidentally ate, proclaiming, "wow -- that brie sure is stong."

Poor Kevin, we starve him all day and then laugh at him when he eats rotton, stinky cheese.

Josko said a friend of his owned a pizza restaurant that had great food, so we headed over there.

We hit the ATM on the way to get some krunks for dinner (since the cro-ats have never heard of Visa).

Unfortunately, the charm of the sexy ATM withdraw was left in Hvar... this time, it just looked kinda sad.

We headed to the pizza place, which was very cute.  And, it was warm, so we were happy.

Jen had some fantastic lasagna, and the rest of us tried the pizzas.

The pizzas were delicious - Lauren was adventurous and got hers with corn, which was interesting!

The guys and Abbey tried the local beer - it was great! And cheap -- we did love the prices in Croatia.

We headed back to the boat and hung out for a little, but we were all pretty tired and Josko was ready to go to bed - since it was too cold/rainy to hang out outside, we decided to get a good nights sleep.

Even with the rain and cold weather, we really love Croatia!
