After a good nights rest at the Bunkhouse - a lively snowboarder/skier backpacker hostel, located at in a town called Methven at the Base of Mount Hutt - we headed up to the South Islands largest Ski Field.
This was Liz’s first Ski trip of NZ. After a scary drive up numerous hairpin bends of the Mt Hutt dirt track road, we reached the resort. All was forgiven though when we tore into the powdery runs, thanks to a snow storm only a few days previous.
