For the next three days, I had organized a number of activities through the hostel I'd stayed at in BA. Unfortunately, I was late for my overnight bus the previous day and as a result, my morning was a bit messed up. So, instead of spending the day canyoning and trekking around the region, I had to scramble to figure out a few things. I ended up going horseback riding in the foothills of the Andes, an activity that sounds quite enjoyable, but I actually found it quite boring (certainly compared to the beautiful scenery in Tupiza), especially as I noticed the paragliders landing a short distance away...now THAT would have been fun! Another time, I guess.
