Since 2008, Warren has been teaching international business English at Jiangnan University, Wuxi - near Shanghai. Warren has previously taught at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics in Kunming, as well as graduate nurses in south India. He has studied and taught at various levels in other parts of China and Asia.

Whilst still retaining an Australian passport and citizenship, Warren enjoys foreigner residence status in the People’s Republic. Mr Rodwell possesses a passion for travel, computers, study , photography, and writing. His lifestyle caters for these particular interests. He has lived / travelled in Europe, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.

In recent years, he has travelled extensively through south east Asia & the People's Republic of China. He has been awarded & recognized for writing on various travel / expat websites, and online forums. About two thousand of his pictures have been featured so far. Warren also does hard copy feature writing and editting for glossy magazines.
