I love to travel, but really don't get to do it often enough. While I had travelled around Canada and the U.S. as a kid with my parents (and one trip to Paris and London with them too), it wasn't until I lived in Japan for 2 years after university that the travelbug really bit me. Now it seems that I only get to travel every 5 years or so, but I hope to do more soon. Part of the problem is that I like big travel to more exotic places and that takes more money and time. Plus, my husband is afraid of flying, so I hadn't travelled at all (until a recent trip to LasVegas) with him. The blogs here have inspired me though. And my husband has said he'll get over his fear of flying...although not his fear of spiders.

China in 1 week! Aug 08 '97 "Highlights were the Beijing opera, the acrobat show, the Forbidden City (wow!), the Great Wall of China (the Mutianyu section--less crowded than the closer one and it was pretty cheap to get a cab for the whole day, at least it was 10 year ago), the Summer Palace, and climbing Mount Tai'An." | China | |
