For some reason, about which I have some theories (!) travelling has always had great appeal to me - while I was sorting out my possessions before I left on this trip I came across a letter I had written to my ex husband when I was 16 (we weren't married then of course!) saying how one day I wanted to live on a barge and be free..........

Well this kind of travelling isn't like that, but, writing this 4 months into the process, I do think it has come very naturally to me. Now, as I think I say in the introduction, it may be the influence of my brothers trip when I was an impressionable teenager - or maybe it IS in the blood - especially a barge thing - as it was only a few years ago that I learnt our paternal grandmother was born on a barge, and in fact (if it is a fact!) her parents were Irish gypsies..

So I like to think its in the blood. It feels like that's where it is, in the heart, in the soul and when untertaken MINDfully, is definitely good for all three!!!
