Oasis Backpackers' Hostel
"What a great intro to hostel life! It's too bad not all hostels were like this. The nightlife here is fantastic, and the people so relaxed and interesting. If I didn't have a 'plan', I could see myself never leaving this place. It's too bad I didn't have more time here. Free breakfast is included, if you consider unlimited toast and coffee breakfast - 15 Euro / night"

Young and Happy Hostel
"The hostel itself isn't much to get excited about, but its location is key. To be fair, I was so busy seeing Paris, I hardly spend anytime in the hostel. I would recommend something else better, but in the Latin Quarter - 23 Euro / night"

Snuffel Backpacker Hostel
"Coming from Y&H in Paris, this place dominates. The bar is fantastic, and the free tour was awesome. However, at 12 ppl / room, sleeping is a little cozy - 16 Euro / night"

Bulldog Hostel
"This place sucked. It was huge, expensive, and very impersonal. This place may be better if you were travelling with a large group of friends, but it's very difficult to meet new people when you're travelling solo. It also doesn't help that everybody is stoned, 24 hours a day - I'm not kidding. This place was literally a haven for Americans (mainly) who have never seen or smoked pot before - like a fat kid in a candy store. It was extreme and excessive, but then again, it is Amsterdam - 28 Euro / night"

Lette 'm Sleep
"Laid back place, great common area with free internet. No free breakfast, but with a store right across the park and a great kitchen, there's no reason to starve - 17 Euro / night. I also stayed at a Meininger City Hostel on Menininger StraBe (there's 3 of them). This place is very laid back, very clean, and has a fantastic, free breakfast. It caters to EVERYBODY (including families because it is really just a low class hotel) so it isn't much of a party place - 12.50 Euro / night!!!"

Sir Toby's
"This hostel is the hostel of hostels. Fan-f-ing-tastic. The whole hostel reminds me of an irish pub, of which there is one in the basement. I was very content to just sit in the pub all night, drink way to cheap beer, and talk it up. The people I met there were all extremely social, and I gotta say, the best part of Prauge was the hostel. There is also this crazy old professor (in a nice way) who does tours and taught us all the 'proper' way to drink absinthe - 340 Kc / night (approx. $17 CAD)"

Ostello Santa Monaca
"Good hostel, but nothing special. There was a problem with my reservation, but the staff was really helpful and found me a place to stay down the street for my first night. Big common room, decent kitchen, and there was laundry, but no bar. Relatively clean, but felt a little institutional. Heard great things about Archi Rossi Hostel which was across the street from the train station, but it was booked - 17.50 Euro / night"

The Yellow Hostel
"Really cool hostel with an atmosphere that makes it feel more like a hotel. Free internet, and the best free breakfast you could EVER ask for - not to mention, the girl who takes your breakfast tickets is very easy on the eyes. Good party atmosphere - nightly pub crawls."

Cinque Terre Holidays
"Awkward... this place would be great, fantastic great, if you were travelling with five other buddies. Instead, when you're put in an apartment style room (really nice) with another family, which included 2 kids and the grand mother, not so great. I didn't feel comfortable stumbling in drunk at 3 am, and as much as getting really really drunk would have put that inhibition to rest, I thought better of it. So the combination of nobody to party with, and a grand mother sleeping in the bunk above me, made for a quiet evening - 22.50 Euro / night."

"What a way to close out. This place was just hopping. Great lounge area with free internet, and an awesome free breakfast. Lounge becomes a bar at night which was just a blast! Met a tonne of people - 22 Euro / night"
