Just a quick stop here in Mechelen to pick to OC machine (which has arrived and is in our hands at last!) and then we're on the road to Berlin. So some good news is always followed by bad news. Some of you may have heard that I lost my wallet in Osnabruck Wednesday. I was coming out of a book store and stuffing the change into my beautiful new wallet that I bought after my other one was stolen in October, when I saw REB coming out of a store across the passage way. We talked and went back to the hotel. This was Tuesday evening. The next morning as we hurriedly packed for an 8:00 am train, I couldn't find my wallet. I don't know if it missed my pocket or fell out of my backpack (nasty thing, I've never trusted it). Either way we had to cancel the cards and kiss the money goodbye. Luckily, I don't carry much money, just for essentials like the WC and such. Now we have new cards on the way and there is just one slim 2X3 slip of plastic (REB's MasterCard) between us and the great, wide world for the next week or so. Keep your fingers crossed and don't look away - who knows what will happen next. Pretty dumb rookie mistake, huh?
I've made a small study that for every good thing that happens (nice hotel room/good weather for the walk through the botanical gardens/no line at the museum), there are five bad things that happen (equipment breaks down/bad train connections/loss of property). I may publish later. But the main reason to send this log today is to transmit some pictures. I have baby pictures of Jayna! Also, a few we took in the last few days. Hope you enjoy.

Glad you finally got the pictures. Am trying to send more but keep having computer issues. Will get Scott to hopefully fix them this weekend. -Sorry to hear about your misfortunes. But it sounds like it wasn't too dissasterous. - Jessie loves her Children's Theater you gave her for her birthday. She has been giving everyone little shows. Between that and her new scooter she is very happy. Love to all!
