year abroad

This is where I went to school for one year. I stayed with a fabulous host family on a farm 50 km outside of Meadow Lake. Of course it was a ver special experience...

What made it so special?

THE PEOPLE: I never met ONE unfriendly or rude person!

THE NATURE: there are still so many wild animals - it's amazing! I saw loads of deer, even a moose right in our yard as well as a black bear! (I even ate some bear!) If you like horses, this should be your paradise: on a trail ride you can ride a whole day cross country and not see a single house!

The province Saskatchewan is about twice the sice of Germany but has only 1 million inhabitants! Obviously compleatly different to what I was used to... When I fist arrived there it seemed like NOBODY lives there but since I'm back home, Germany seems overcrowded to me. I miss the wide open spaces... and of course "my family" and friends there!
