I wanted to start the new year out by enjoying some good, clean, healthy fun.  My intentions were to do a little downhill skiing and snow tubing.  The only problem was that there was little to no snow.  Usually, the resorts makes snow, but it was so unseasonably warm that the man-made snow was melting.

The good thing about this area is that there is such a variety of activities, that we still were able to have a great time! My original plans were foiled, but the fun never stopped.  I was a part of a group of 8 people, with 8 different personalities, young, old, male and female - and we all enjoyed ourselves.

Even though, we had no snow it was still cold outside, yet we went swimming at a humungous indoor water park that maintained temperatures of 80 or more degrees.  We spent one whole day (and night) at the water park because we were having fun, we felt safe and we were able to eat heartily for a very reasonable price.

Moreover, the food was great! And I'm not talking about fast food. I'm talkin' about hot food prepared by chefs.  The nice thing about this restaurant is that it is enclosed within the water park; therefore, we were able to eat hot food while our bodies were drying off.  But the real benefit was that most of the kids were asleep before we could get out of the parking lot!
