Review of Westin Maui

This was our third or fourth trip back to the Westin Maui.  The hotel is beautiful - from the serene asian decor to the stunning gardens, stress rolls off of you immediately.  It's like walking into another planet.  Our kids love the waterslide, which is quite long, and there are several pools, including a private pool for adults.

The Kaanapali beach location is wonderful, although that part of the shoreline is never great for swimming unless you are a very strong swimmer who can deal with rip tides and strong currents.  On the calm days we took the kids out snorkling, as there is a small reef directly out from the Westin.

Located right next door to the Whaler with great shopping, and on the main walkway in Kaanapali that takes you from the Sheraton at one end, to the Hyatt Regency at the other, there is a lot of browsing to do.
