Owner Mike Auvil made us feel right at home. Terrifically located very close to the beach but with plenty of privacy. There are four air conditioned bungalows and three other themed rooms. Our friend stayed in one of the bungalows and we stayed in the Monkey Room. They kids LOVED this place. The pool and spa were really refreshing but they loved the monkeys that came everyday for a quick visit and also a deer that would wander through the grounds. Breakfast was spectacular also. Very very family friendly and great atmosphere.

Thanks so much for the response! I just checked out where all you've been and wow! I first noticed Ian Anderson's in Belize (I was there 2 years ago) but then went on to see that you are a skydiver - as are my husband and I! Small, small world!

Hello! My husband and I are planning a trip to Costa Rica next summer and are looking for a place with our own bungalow that is private, but yet has things to do in the area (and yet not real "touristy"). Would you recommend La Posada?? Thanks! Margy
