Things are all starting to fall into place. I've got my plane tickets, my Eurail pass, my final termination letter from work, made my initial reservations in Delhi and Dubai, sent my passport off to the Indian consulate in New York to get my visa, hired a moving company, etc...whew... I think planning is the hardest part of the journey! Trying to get all my gear together and packing... hard to turn your life off for 10 weeks... lots of things you don't even realize you have to do until it's time to go.

I've been gathering information for my trip from many sources, making sure I hit on all the high points in my travels. I'm fortunate to work with a lot of Indians, so I'm getting some great information and tips from them. One of the guys grew up in Dubai, so I'm planning to get some help there too. I also have a good friend who is meeting me in Delhi when I land, so that will help in the transition. Thanks Sanjay!

I cant' believe there's only 18 more days before I leave! I'll be adding some pictures this weekend, so check back soon!

Planning's definitely the hardest part...but going, doing new things, meeting new people and experiencing a foreign culture is the fun part!! The tough part will soon be over, and replaced by the good stuff.
