Macau is pretty expensive and because we arrived very late we ended up having to opt for an expensive hotel, which got even more expensive when they chraged us 10 per hour for the internet!!

Apart from that Macau is a really nice place. There's the casino area, which we avoided, that wouldn't look out of place in any part of Vegas. We took a trip out to the islands one day which was really good, this is where old Macau is. The historic centre is beautiful. Old churches, little narrow alleyways, wide open piazzas with mosaic flooring - nice. The food here was excellent, a mixture of Portuguese, Macanese (African) and Cantonese. The food here was more similar to the Chinese food in the UK, than opposed to the north and east.
