The bays tend to be pretty shallow. This picture was taken at Railay. (A bit more upscale but the next beach/bay around the rocks from Ton Sai.) There the tourists are loaded onto these wagons hauled around by tractors so they don't get wet getting to the boat. (None of that at Ton Sai!)
