Here is a photo of the Valley of the Kings - where 30 plus Kings have been buried. After the time of the pyramids - where Kings used to be buried inside those - the tombs were then constructed underground where treasures collected throughout the Kings lifetime were buried within the tomb along with the Kings mummy inside many sarcophaguses. All the tombs I saw had paintings along the walls and you could tell a lot of work was put into the construction of them.
