26 tickets: Around ... >

We're supposed to leave for the airport in 45 minutes, and I'm way behind on my posting, of course. But, as a quick sketch of the plan, we wanted to arrange the trip so we could:
- do the world in three weeks -- not enough time, of course, but that's what we had to work with.
- go from east to west -- a general constraint of the air tickets, but it's supposed to have the minimal jeg lag impact, and keeps us moving forward
- go to places we haven't been before
- hit the Big Things you obviously want to see in parts of the world you might not get back to
We returned to the cocktail napkin, and came up with the following. Not perfect, but certainly good enough:
- Tokyo
- Kyoto
- Hong Kong
- Delhi and Agra
- Athens and a few islands
- Cairo and Luxor
- London (just to force us a little further around the globe)
- and home again
As Stephen Wright said, "It's a small world, but I wouldn't want to have to paint it." We've got 56 hours of airplanes ahead of us, and the first one leaves in about 3 hours. Time and WiFi permitting, I'll be back with more later. See you on the other side.
