Back to the UK

The morning of 5th March (Cal's birthday!) came around really quickly. I felt very sad saying goodbye to Marlene and John at the airport and felt I could easily have stayed in NZ for a little while longer. Thankfully, the journey back went very well: I had the company of a really nice retired headteacher from Bedford on the first two flights, got 2 seats to myself on the third flight and 3 seats to myself on the last flight. Being able to get some sleep made SUCH a difference!

It is fantastic to see Dean again, who was a sweetie and picked me up at the airport at 7am. Today will be spent unpacking, pampering myself and spending some quality time with Deano. I’m not too sure about going back to work on Monday… but am very excited about going skydiving (with my own gear!) at the weekend, so fingers crossed for the weather.

Thanks again to Becs & Gareth and Marlene & John for having me to stay with them and thanks to YOU for following my blog  :o)  I look forward to catching up soon.
