Flying to Stansted was a breeze (for me). Vasa watched and listened as I passed out on the plane. At first she didn't mind, she'd watch movies.. She wanted to stay awake on the red-eye I'm sure out of fear. Anyways, so she's pumped about the movies - even buys earphones - but our section of the Zoom airplane wasn't right and she couldn't listen. So for 6 hours or so, she waited until we landed. I awoke in the UK refreshed.
We ride the Stansed Express into London (45 mins) - then the Tube for another 15 and we're in little Arabia (Paddington) at our ghetto lodgings. Nothing but the best for my little sister.
We walked and walked through Picadilly Circus, into Trafalgar Square, into the National Gallery before Vasa shut down after 36 hours of being awake. End of Day 1.
Day 2 we did more walking. We watched the lame changing of the guards with the rest of the dumb toursist - couldn't really see much of the elaborate switch. South of the river was a bit more fun, but not any less touristy. Good times though. The best was when we decided to watch the England World Cup game next to Trafalgar Sq. When England won the game, people flooded into the square, fools started jumping into the fountains... eveyone was hammered. Chants/girls flashing.. it was all there. Wicked fun.
Third day started out going to the Tower of London. This is where royalty lived from 1066 AD and where prisoners were held and beheaded. Vasa's kind of place.
All this, before we left for Paris on day 3.
