We made it! Finally we had arrived in Lima at 2am and checked into our hotel. We slept like babies and woke up fresh and ready to venture out. After a brief chat with reception, it seemed more and more evident that walking around in Lima wasn´t as easy as we had hoped, especially when the receptionist proceeded to pull out a map and draw boundaries of where we should and shouldn´t walk...! However, it wasn´t as bad as it seemed, and Downtown Lima is actually really nice.
For the evening we returned to our hotel and tried to find the nearest Irish/English pub - After days of only being able to communicate with each other, we needed some variety : ) O´Murpheys seemed like the obvious choice and we made our way there in a taxi. It was just what we were looking for, with English speaking people all over the place, although sadly, no Guinness. Aparently Guinness is sold in only one pub in Peru, and it´s in Cusco. We promptly noted the name of it for future reference....
Backpack Status: According to Iberia it could be anywhere on the planet...

Backpack watch... I must admit, I fear for the future of the backpack. Probably been cut up, and sold off as parts by now.. :( Martin
