After returning from Salar De Uyuni, I found that the food from the past few days was not as agreeable as I first thought, and so found myself hotel room bound for a couple of days. The taste, smell, and even thought of food made me nauseous. I blame the grumpy git that was cooking our food on the tour. Anyway, after a couple of days (which must have bored the living daylights out of Yaz), we ventured out and found some "normal" food for me... Burger King... La Paz is a rather strange city. Intermingled among all the street pedlars, and beggers, you find the most normal things, again, such as Burger King, and a place called Mongo´s. Mongo´s is a pretty cool restaurant/bar which is open until the early hours. Little did we know on our visit that after midnight, the locals turn into some kind of crazed, barely human, maniacs. It´s like they go out partying once a year coz they partied hard! The place packed out and they were practically dancing on the bar! All in all, a very good, albeit somewhat weird evening. Fortunately we bumped into a couple of people we had met on our Uros Islands tour, and chilled with them for the evening... Safety in numbers and all. Unfortunately, as in some other places, La Paz isn´t really the kind of place you want to be flashing your camera, especially hearing from people about kidnappings etc, and hence, not many pictures..
