The days just sort of run together. We spend them trying to get interviews with older people and ask about land change in the area. We’ve pretty much exhausted the ones on this side of the park and will be heading to the Bigodi side this week.
We’ve had some interesting people that we’ve talked to. One woman got a bit annoyed—told Abe he was asking too many questions. One man asked for us for money and we told him that we couldn’t give him money (it’s never been a part of the project deal) and so he decided not to talk to us—after seeming really excited to see us. Others have been very helpful and excited to talk to us. We spend a lot of time driving and trying to make programs to talk to people at another time.
