Primate Conference

So there was conference in celebration of 20 years of primate research here in Kibale. We weren’t invited but we were allowed to attend the workshops and presentations anyway.  It was great to hear what others are doing in the park. The primate research is really interesting but I’m glad that someone else is studying them. I don’t know if I could watch a chimp or a colobus for 10 hours everyday. . .or run after them with a urine catcher to test for hormones. Quite, honestly, I think we have an awesome project because going out to the villages is strange and funny nearly every time. Can’t complain. But it was nice to put the names of those who papers I have read with their faces. And then to watch them get down on the dance floor after is really strange! =)
