Hello Everybody,

Just a really quick update from us.

After an entire day's worth of travel, Jenn and I finally made it from Spain to Nepal.  We're finally in one of the countries that we both have been dying to visit.

So far Kathmandu was everything we expected it to be - hectic, chaotic and loud.  We've been here for the last three days trying to settle in while making plans for a 21 day trek through the Annapurna region.  We managed to find a guide and porter, buy $170 worth of imitation hiking gear (ie.  we got two North Face Gore Tex jackets for $90), and secure our trekking permits the trek starting tomorrow.

Since we likely won't be anywhere near a computer in the next 21 days we just wanted to say Namaste from Nepal.

Until later,

Lenny and Jenn

Hi Len and Jenn, Nice blog. I'm leaving for Kathmandu in just a few days (Feb. 21st '07). It sounds like you were on a mission of sorts, delivering some health care. I'll be travelling with a group of 10 installing water filtration systems and offering medical care (2 doctors on our team). I've really enjoyed looking through your photos and getting some ideas on what to expect (this is my first trip to Kathmandu). Thanks for your blog and photos. Any advise?? Tom C.
