Uganda the real pearl of Africa,my first time to visit this country though my neighbour was back in the year 1990 never thought i would visit due to the political tensions at the time .

One afternoon as i was volunteering with the scouts movement in kenya i got a message from the chief  of scouts that he needed to see me and little did i know that he had decided to send me to Uganda to represent the Kenya Scouts Association at a workshop on youth Action for Aids that was organised for youth serving organisations in Africa,i was so luck to have had the opportunity to be with other youth leaders from Africa with the facilitation of trainers with three world leading youth organisations The world scout movement,International Commitee of the redcross and the World Health organisation,i was excited and looking forward to the travel date.As i was preparing myself for the trip,my fiancee asked me if i would be safe and it was like throwing salt and peper in a glass of milk i became confused as to whether to proceed or cancel, but on second thouht i decided to try and an answer to her question was ready confirmed that i will attend as God is the protector so i got set for the journey.

I left at nine in the morning for the airport took the Kenya Airways flight to Entebe Uganda and took about forty five minutes to get there as we were about to land,on the window of the plane,i saw a group of young soldiers some much younger than me and felt so fearful that these could be rebals i asked a man seated next to me who the young men were and said that they were soldiers,i exclaimed soldiers? young as they are i felt really shocked but i was assured that all was well.
