Hetch Hetchy Junction
Hetch Hetchy Junction is the lesser known glacial valley twin to Yosemite Valley and considered part of the Yosemite National Park. It boasts breathtaking scenery and glorious hiking on its many wilderness trails. Currently, Hetch Hetchy is flooded by the O’Shaughnessy Dam, creating a reservoir that is the source of drinking water for much of the San Francisco Bay Area. From conservationists to equestrians, people adore Hetch Hetchy for its spectacular views. The Northern California Strawberry Music Festival is also held here, a popular event for locals and travelers alike.
