My Life in Umbria

   My trip to Italy really began about three years ago when I was looking for a college with a good study abroad program.  I found Richmond and after using their resources to go to Prague, I decided that I wanted to see more of the world.  Italy was calling to me. In all honesty, I can't really tell you why.  Maybe it was the beautiful pictures I had seen or the language that flows from people's mouths like wine in the  countryside.  Whatever it was, I wanted to be a part of it. 

     I will be living in Perugia, Italy in the heart of the Umbria region for a little over three months.  Perugia is a medieval city of about 160,000 people.  It is only about 30 minutes form Assisi, a city many of you have heard of.  During my time here, I plan to tackle the language barrier, learn the culture and explore a life that is much more laid back than that of America.

I will do my best to keep you updated on my many adventures and to tell you any stories that I may have to pass on.  Stories are what make people who they are and in turn make all of us who we are.  Please continue to share your stories with me, as I do with you.
