We started this day seeing the Witchcraft Museum in Holmavik.  It was a little creepy but pretty interesting - unlike many places, Iceland had mainly male "witches" that were tried and burned/hung/killed.   People could get accused and found guilty for not only evil-ish things but also for knowning spells to protect sheep and so forth.  We had headsets to listen to English explanations for all the displays - the narrators voice echoed like they recorded it in a crypt of something, I think they made it creepy on purpose.

Once we got to Isafjordur (sorry I can no longer use the neat Icelandic characters as we are no longer in Iceland and are back to using normal keyboards) we did a hike up the side of this mountain.  Actually our guide book says the hike is in a valley called Naustahvilft, but to me it was just straight up the mountain to this little pocket, full of moss and boulders.  It was neat and only about 1/2 up to the valley.  Excellent view of the town and fjord from there.  Isafjordur itself is fun, perched between mountains and ocean and fairly easy to get around - although we are learning to no believe Lonely Planet in all it says, because it has been wrong.
