Huntington WV

Just outside of Huntington, WV is Blenko Glass. Jeff and I stopped for a quick visit here because they advertised that you could actually watch the guys blow the glass. The shop was really awesome. They had all kinds of different glassworks…. All shapes and sizes; and surprisingly it was all very reasonably priced… of course this was West Virginia, I’m not sure anything is that expensive here. The place was set up where you entered into a showroom/store and then you could go outside to view the guys working. In-between the showroom and the shop was this large area with a sea of sorted glass pieces… I guess pots that had gone bad. We watched the men work for quite some time; each guy had a specific job to do on each piece, so it was basically just a human assembly line… still cool though.
