The Bingo bus to Huancayo

A military operation to get ourselves and luggage safely on a v nice bus for the 7 hour journey Lima- Huancayo.

We thought the highlight of the bus ride would be the lunch served en route, but little did we know this was just the start of the fun. After lunch bingo cards were handed out, with a little help translating the numbers from the friendly people around us we almost won! It was bingo with a twist. The twist being if you sang karaoke you got to choose a bonus number. We were still chuckling to ourselves about this when the  final film came on. Who'd of thought we'd be watching Louis' cousin (Luke Mably the actor) dubbed in spanish, in a starring role in 'The Prince and Me'. Unbelievable!

Having passed the highest town in Peru at 4700m, we had our first taste of altitude sickness. Nothing major- felt a bit hungover and wobbly.

So far we seem to be the only western tourists here and are attracting a few stares.
