After an hour aimlessly wandering downtown we eventually discover the city is bustling beneath our feet. Houston's skyscrapers are connected by a labyrinth of tunnels filled with shops and services, making it possible for thousands of office workers never really needing to step outside all day. Lots of money being spent on Houston but its clean streets and fake smiles makes it a city lacking a soul. Motel pool is good, though.
