Attended two days of the Taste of Tasmania, a festival held every year during the week straddling New Years Day.  The event was located in the Sullivan's Cove area of downtown Hobart, and included  71 stalls representing "Tasmania's finest purveyors of food and wine."

Huge variety of food and drink, from Persian to Moroccan to Indian to Italian (all featuring Tasmanian produce).  I especially enjoyed the salmon rosti from Rosti Chalet, the chilli mussels from Waji's, the oyster beer from Dark Isle Brewery, and the dessert from Summer Puddings of Tasmania.

The value for the dollar was not stellar, but the selection and ambience more than made up for this.  (In these regards, the festival was a bit like the international food festival at Walt Disney World in Orlando.   The difference here though is that the food is probably more authentic or true to the location it represents.

Besides the food, there were a number of side attractions, including the Australian Freestyle Footbag (not "Hackey Sack, which is a brand name) Championship, an area to hone your cricket skills with plastic bats, and the harbor itself.
