After a 90 minute 'sleep' it was up to catch our bus - final destination Saigon. What a journey! First onto a bus for 1 hour, then 2.5 hours down the Mekong River to the Cambodian border (visa processed), 5 minutes to Vietnamese border (visa and customs), some food (while watching a kid holding a string tied to a rat play with a puppy), back on another boat for 2.5 hours to Chau Doc followed by a 6 hour bus journey to Saigon. We left at 7am and arrived at 23.30!!!

Myself and Kev, being the hard-core party people we are, went out. The idea of Saturday in Saigon was just too tempting. In the end the night was a bit of a disappointment. Alot of the bars/clubs are brimmed with ex-pats and hookers and not alot else.

The following day we went to the War Museum and the day after that the Cu Chi tunnels. Check out my review(s) which include some good photos.

We've spent a few days now in Saigon and it's starting to grow on us. I'm still disappointed with the night-life but the days have been good fun with the tours, markets, water park and the daily life. You wouldn't believe (unless you've since it) the number of motorbikes here. It must be 50 motorbikes to 1 other vehicle. There's a pattern but it's a crazy one. We've gone to some places on the back of a driver and I tell you what I'm glad their driving and not me :o) It's a bit of an adrenaline rush though. Fun!

Tomorrow we head to the famous sand-dunes of Mui Ne. We want to buff up our tan so hopefully the weather is kind.. :o)
