Into Saigon on an overnight train, arrived at 8:30 and could not for the life of us get a metered taxi from the train station. Not profitable enough I guess--much better for them to take us flat rate for way too much. Got on the back of motorbikes(big bags rode in front of the driver), and got to the travel place much cheaper.  Missed the tour out to Cu Chi tunnels, so took a taxi out to catch up(a bit expensive). Caught up no problem though, and checked it out. Really interesting. Back to Saigon, found a hotel across the street, booked a Mekong Delta tour to Cambodia for the next day, found some western food(had a craving), and to bed early)

The traffic in Saigon is NUTTY. Absolutely insane. Number of motorbikes are estimated to be 3-4 million, and you can tell. There don't seem to be traffic rules, just a basic yield mentality at every intersection. As in, if there's someone coming head-on towards you, yield! Hard to describe.
