Desiree is my roomie here at UH Hilo. I've never had a roommate who I hung out with outside of the room, and on exchange experience that's a really important friendship to have- she's introduced me to many of her favorite folks, who in turn introduce me to their friends... and so on.  We live in relatively similar style, which is odd since I come from little Shrewsbury and big old UMASS, and she's from Boca Raton, which has valet parking at the grocery store... we're both short, though she's a centimeter taller. we both can hold our own at parties but are serious about school and go to bed early when we need to.

within a week, it was pretty clear the two of us are a package deal. we do things separately sometimes, but during the day our routines tend to compliment eachother so it's only natural to eat and hang out with eachother.
