Greetings everyone!

Thai is sleeping so I thought that I would take the opportunity to let you know what we have been up to.  Tuesday Brad, Thai and I traveled to the province close to where Thai's orphanage is to have his Giving and Receiving Ceremony.  All of the couples piled into a small coach type bus and traveled to the Pho Thro provence for our ceremony.  Two of the couples hadn't gotten their children yet so we had to make a stop at an orphanage so that they could meet and pick up their children.  It was really neat to see other families go through what we did just a week ago.  One of the couples brought their two sons, ages 3 and 6 and then they adopted two little girls.  Wow! I don't think I could've done that, what a handful!!!!!  Afterwards we went to the goverment office to have the ceremony.  You would think that it would be this big wonderful thing when in fact it was just a lot of checking on paperwork and a small speech.  We were each given the same question, "Do you still intend to adopt the child that you were given?"  Of course everyone replied "YES".  Then we were given the opportunity to say something if we chose.  One of the husbands got up and thanked the officials for his daughter etc... and then Brad spoke as well (surprise, surprise :))  He did a very nice job thanking everyone and promising that we would raise Thai with a knowledge of his heritage and provide for him.  After the ceremony was over we left to have dinner.  I wasn't all that thrilled with the restaurant choice since it was a fish only place, so I just ate rice.  The one nice thing was all of the girls/women came to take care of the babies so that we could eat.  I was surprised at how comfortable I was with that idea, Brad was a bit nervous though.  He always had one eye on his son and one on his food.  We got home very late that night and Brad had to get up very early the next day to apply for Thai's passport.  Tomorrow we go to the US Embassy for our first of two interviews.  If everything goes as planned we should be able to be home as scheduled.  We can't wait to see all of you!

CONGRATS on it now finally being legal!!-Last night was the first time I was able to catch up on your blogs and my cousin questioned my why I was crying. I am very happy for the two of you-- I know you will make wonderful parents. It is so difficult to see a child so small have to go through all the health issues that have been thrown at him already. The Randall Family is in my thoughts and prayers and I can't wait to see the little guy when you get back here in WI!!!!

Hey Guys! I am so happy for you, and so excited too! I'm am relieved that Thai is feeling better, it was pretty scary when mom told me what was going on, and both of us were helpless to do anything for you. I wanted to just hop on a plane and get there as fast as possible so I could be there for you. But now things are looking up and Thai is officially yours, which brings tears to my eyes. I can't think of two people more deserving than the both of you. Thai is very blessed to have you both apart of his life. I know an aunt and a uncle that are just itching to spoil him from the moment we can all finally be introduced. Love you guys, I miss you both so much. It's very strange not to get a phone call from my sis every week, I miss it* Love, *Helene
