(GW 07/2008) The original Country House was built in the late 19th Century durign the reign of Queen Victoria and has now been sympathetically developed whilst retaining the original features and ambience. Situated at the end of a tree lined drive of one of oldest roads (A5), the hotel occupies it's own land in the magnificent Vale of Llangollen in North Wales with spectacular scenery, mountains, waterfalls, canals, steam railways and historic buildings. The markey towns of Oswestry and Wrexham are a little over 10 minutes drive away and historic Chester just 25 minutes.
