Rock Glen, a country house built in 1815 is beautifully located on 50 acres of meadowland between the shoreline of Ardbear Bay and Connemara's Twelve Pins mountain range. The landscapes and Atlantic seascapes are magnificent. All bedrooms have been beautifully decorated and include the full range of modern facilities for convenience and comfort. Hotel tastefully decorated restaurant provides the perfect setting for a relaxing meal at the end of a busy day. Specialising in modern Irish cooking with a French influence, hotel use as much local produce as possible with an emphasis on seafood with local scallops, oysters and lobster all featuring on a la carte menu. Leisure activities include an all weather tennis court, croquet lawn, putting green and snooker room. Close by is the championship Connemara 18 hole golf links. Horse riding, pony trekking and fishing can be arranged locally. There are miles of sandy beaches for safe swimming and boat trips to the Aran Islands and Inishbofin leave every day.
