"Overall stay for 3 nights was ok experience, but a lady(or a trans-gender/eunuch." source Hostelworld

"Overall excellent hostel would definitely stay there again." source Hostelworld

"Great place to go out of of a night time." source Hostelworld

"great place for young people, super fun." source Hostelworld

  • Clean: Rating of 3.9 out of 5

"If you like to have a great time, and party with a ton of friendly fun people (and especially the awesome staff), in addition to being in a neat hippy community with a great beach, its the perfect place." source Hostelworld

"Having to move all our stuff 2 days after we arrived for cleaning was annoying, as we had lots of belongings with us." source Hostelworld

"they make u vacate rooms everyday whilst they\'re cleaned though, thats 11 til 3." source Hostelworld

"Excellent location and hostel is very clean." source Hostelworld

"The rooms get cleaned every day." source Hostelworld

  • Location: Rating of 4.5 out of 5

"This hostel had no common area for socializing and relaxing, other than the front porch where everyone smoked. Not very organized, and many of the staff live right in the hostel, close to the beach, but also in a more trashy area of town." source Hostelworld

"The only down side we found was its location in relation to the rest of San Diego, although it is acessible via public transport it can take some time." source Hostelworld

"However, there is no central lounge area, or a quieter place if you have been traveling for a while and need some peace for one evening." source Hostelworld

"apart from that it was really good great location with enough bars and links to the local area to always have something to do." source Hostelworld

"a really nice location, but unfortunatly it spoilt by the silly rules of all the common rooms closing and no drinking after nine." source Hostelworld

  • Value

"Good points are cost, free towels and breakfast is good in the morning." source Hostelworld

  • Room

"Only bad thing is that from some rooms it can be really noisy at night, on the very happening Newport Avenue and near the airport - that's the trade off for being right in the middle of all the action. Rooms and facilities somewhat cramped at full occupancy." source Hostelworld

"probably the worst hostel ive ever stayed in, my room stank of weed, there were only 3 bathrooms, often occupied, always dirty and one shower had holes in the ceiling linking to the floor above." source Hostelworld

"It was filthy, the staff were so rude, the place smelled of pee and the rooms were tiny with equally tiny toilets in them." source Hostelworld

"I was either outside or in my room but it seemed like they liked to party together, but after 11PM they were quiet." source Hostelworld

"Great food, good fun in the evenings and the rooms are nice, have a curtain over our bed so very private." source Hostelworld
