Lang House on Main Street

This stately, white Queen Anne mansion (1881) sits on the hillside between downtown and the University of Vermont. Not as extravagant as the Willard Street Inn (whose owners are co-owners here), it's very comfortably appointed and lavish, with rich cherry and maple woodwork. Rooms vary, but most have small bathrooms and small TVs. I like two corner units: Room 101, on the first floor, has a wonderfully old-fashioned bathroom with wainscoting; room 202 has a cozy sitting area tucked in the turret, which gets lots of afternoon light. Lang House is located at the intersection of Main Street and South Willard Street. -- Directions -- We are located on Route 2, Main Street, approximately 1.5 miles from I-89 and just east of Route 7. If you are traveling North or South on I-89 take exit 14W, Route 2, which turns into Main Street.
