  • Overall: Rating of 2.7 out of 5

"The hotel overall was not that bad, but $30 for valet parking when we checked in at 7:30 at night and had to have the car out by noon, $30 was ridiculous to pay." source Hotels.com

"Overall building and indoor facilities were kinda old. Personally,I will not recommend this hotel, unless there are no other options in San Francisco." source Priceline

"I would recommend this hotel if you want a cheap place to stay that is clean." source Venere

"+ room very large, nice rosewood furniture + all spotless & clean + next to Warfield theater, BART Civic center - - hotel was once splendid, now it is worn around the edges - sound insulation not good (sirens, cars) I would definitely stay there again, as it is inexpensive AND clean and very comfy, and in a prime location for tourists." source Travelocity

"I wouldn't recommend this hotel for families or for stays longer then two days and be prepared to pay $27 a day for valet parking." source Hotels.com

  • Clean: Rating of 3.0 out of 5

"The hotel is clean and in a good location (as far as getting to things), however in a bad location as we felt pretty unsafe walking around at night." source Hostelworld

"When I read that this hotel was renovated in 2008, I expected updated clean rooms." source Hotels.com

"The lobby was clean and attractive, the staff was very helpful and courteous, the elevator creaked, it was close the things we wanted to see in San Franciosco, Police were outside our window every night, our car was parked and delivered when they said it would be there, the parking was half as much as the room rate." source Priceline

"The shower was also very small and not very clean, there was mold all over like no one had cleaned it in a long time." source Venere

"It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be from the reviews, the sheets were clean (no bugs), the bed quite comfortable, and bathroom was pretty clean also." source Travelocity

  • Service: Rating of 3.4 out of 5

"Central location, clean room, valet service, and the hotel staff and guests were nice and friendly." source Priceline

"The rooms are fine, the service is good, the neighborhood is bad." source Priceline

"We paid an excellent rate for a summer weekend, the location was convenient for what we wnated to do in the city (shopping, some sightseeing, dancing) and we were surprised by the very helpful staff." source Travelocity

"The hotel offers a car service to get you out of the neghborhood, if that is any indication of the issue." source Travelocity

"I would not recommend this hotel except for friendly staff." source Priceline

  • Location: Rating of 2.2 out of 5

"Not a very safe neighborhood." source Hostelworld

"but the location is good , close to uion square and BART station. for the safty, it's not so good to walk outside late,it's downtown." source Orbitz

"Close to downtown, although hotel location not the best." source Hotels.com

"The location is easy to find and good for accessing different sights within the city, but the neighborhood directly adjacent to hotel has a somewhat unfriendly and unsafe atmosphere." source Priceline

"Staff eager to please and helpful Nice place, poor location due to homeless in area. Parking exorbitant @ $30/night - no better choice considering area." source Priceline

  • Value: Rating of 2.9 out of 5

"For a quick one night stay, this is a inexpensive option, but definitely don't expect too much." source Hotels.com

"So of course there's more comfortable hotels in SF, but its a good option for the price." source Priceline

"I decided to stay because i didn't have another $* for a room so i asked where i could park my car and they have no parking at all its valet only and that was going to cost me big bucks to so I found a place down the street to park my truck right in front of a liquor store." source Travelocity

"The Renoir is an inexpensive hotel, so within those parameters, you get what you pay for in a positive sense." source Expedia

"Parking was expensive on top of room cost which was not worth the money." source Priceline
