The new and much-celebrated Blue Moon Hotel on Orchard Street welcomes guests to the Lower East Side. This new, boutique Manhattan hotel leads the resurgence of the landmark old downtown neighborhoods of Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho, the Financial District. The hotel, an outstanding architectural structure, is centrally located on a museum block which more closely represents a back lot from MGM. Walk along cobblestone streets once occupied by push cart vendors, pickle packers, butchers, and bakers, now populated by a host of eclectic shops and a myriad of bars, restaurants and lounges. New York City's historic past has come to life in this authentic yet modern and comfortable neighborhood hotel. The Blue Moon Hotel boasts 22 oversized luxurious rooms between 320 and 750 square feet, complete with lavish bathrooms with deep tubs, some with hydromassage baths, and all with ceilings 10 to 14 feet high. Our hotel is conveniently located in the heart of New York's most socially vibrant neighborhood; nearby attractions include the Tenement Museum, South Street Seaport, Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, as well as theaters, galleries, historical houses of worship, or take any of the conveniently located trains: B, D, F, J, M, Z, and arrive in midtown in 5-10 minutes.The Blue Moon Hotel is housed in a renovated tenement building whose soul has been preserved and glorified. 100 Orchard Street now enjoys a glamorous reincarnation as a luxury hotel. In a painterly approach, neither plotted nor planned, the Blue Moon was created using a combination of inspiration and instinct, to create settings for the original details by a trained artist over a five-year period. Directions
Driving direction fron JFK Airport-Head north on the Van Wyck Expressway. Take the exit for the Long Island Expressway west and bear right to enter the Brooklyn/Queens Expressway. Stay on the Brooklyn/Queens Expressway and there will be a left exit for the Williamsburg Bridge into Manhattan. After the bridge ends, stay straight on Delancey Street. Turn left onto Ludlow Street, right onto Grand Street and another right onto Orchard Street.
