Seventies architecture prevails in this retro style complex which is set in tropical gardens facing surfing hotspot Tamarin Bay on the island's west coast. Parquet floors, bright fabrics and wood furnishings combine with kitsch touches in the air conditioned guestrooms, all of which minibars, televisions and tea and coffee making facilities. Guests can enjoy international buffet breakfast and lunches on the terrace and in the evening dine a la carte in the Bamboo Lounge to the accompaniment of live classical and jazz piano music. The balneotherapy centre features jet showers, a sauna and hot tub, massage treatment rooms and a fitness centre; outdoors, relaxation amid the tropical gardens is centred round the swimming pool and wooden, fishing hut style cocktail bar. Those taking a break from the summer sun will find an indoor movie theatre with seating for up to 30 guests, as well as a lounge bar, library and Internet corner. Staff at the front desk can book lessons at the diving and surfing schools attached to the hotel, as well as a "discovery of dolphins" hour on the beach opposite. Tennis, volleyball and an aqua gym are also found on site. The hotel is within 15 kilometres of the towns of Quatre Bornes, Curepipe and Le Morne. Approximate driving time to Mauritius International Airport (MRU) is 60 minutes and distance is 45 kilometres (28 miles).
