The Albany Hotel is a stylish hotel set amid Fawkner Park and the Royal Botanic Gardens in the South Yarra only 2 kms away from the city. The hotel, originally a 1960s motel attached to a wonderful South Yarra mansion, has now been transformed into the 21st century and is fast becoming a hub for the fashion industry, music and corporate industry travellers both internationally and domestically. The hotel prides itself on its individuality and cheeky style to entertain you in the most comfortable of ways.The Albany offers many different room types which cater to the needs and budgets of all guests ranging from the Standard to Superior and Executive, Mansion, Spa and Penthouse there is something to suit everyone. All rooms have en suite bathrooms, TV, Foxtel, in house movies, high speed Internet, tea and coffee facilities, fridge, iron and boards, telephone/clock radio and really comfortable Queen beds with soft linen. The rooms are non smoking but there are several smoking areas provided. The Albany is nestled in South Yarra, one of Melbournes most exclusive areas, the hotel is within walking distance of some of Melbournes top restaurants. Located on the corner of Toorak Road and Millswyn Street and a couple of blocks from Chapel Street, the hotel is very close to one of Melbournes prime shopping areas. The hotel is connected by trams in both directions. The hotel is a 10 minute cab ride from the Melbourne Cricket Ground, close to the Grand Prix circuit (easily audible in Feb), a short tram ride to the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), the Victoria and Prahan Markets, the Rod Laver Tennis Centre and many of the Overseas consulates.Other services include limited on-site parking and a Rolls Royce chauffeur service (limited availability) on Friday and Saturday nights within the CBD.
