The Clarendon Inn Bed and Breakfast is a haven for travelers on vacation or couples seeking a tranquil retreat. Just one turn down historic McLaine Alley in the heart of Historic Downtown Wilmington leads you from a day of sightseeing and shopping, live thearter, or dinner at an extraordinary restaurant, to a home away from home. The lively city of Wilmington is so close, yet the peacefulness of this retreat is also yours in a tranquil Inn setting. This unique property, originally built in 1950, housed a Catholic school for nearly 50 years. The Clarendon Inn is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Wilmington, NC. The Inn is just steps away from the best of downtowns restaurants, antique shops, the River Walk, food markets and other stores and attractions. We are just 3 miles from the airport. The Inn has just been completely transformed in to an elegant, full service hotel with 11 rooms adorned with a business center, meeting room, and a hospitality suite that may host wedding parties, meetings and other events. A complimentary breakfast is served each morning either in the guests' room, the lobby, or the patio. There is a large parking area at the Inn as well as 3 patio areas positioned around the property. We have a policy of not allowing children under 14 to stay at the Inn unless the guest has booked the entire Inn for a special event.

-- Directions -- From I-40 turn right on Martin Luther King Parkway to Downtown Wilmington. Follow Parkway to Third Street. Turn right on Market Street go 1 block to first traffic light turn left on Second Street. Go 1 block and cross over Dock Street. Clarendon Inn sits in the middle of this block on the left. Turn left on McLaine Alley and this will lead you to our private parking lot on the right.
