This hostel in Banavie Fort William offers visitors an ideal base for relaxing in beautiful surroundings, for exploring the hills, the glens, the villages and lochs of the Scottish Highlands. They have been awarded a 4 star rating by Visit-Scotland!Enjoy a variety of outdoor pursuits, including walking the sunlit forest tracks and paths nearby, cycling the Great Glen Cycle Route (cycles are available for hire locally, and there is excellent secure cycle storage for your own bikes,) mountain biking at the World mountain-biking circuits on Aonach Mor and along the still shores of the Caledonian Canal and quiet back-roads. By TrainTake the train to BANAVIE - most trains from Glasgow to Fort William continue on via Banavie. We are 300m from the station.From the station, cross the main road then cross the canal. Turn right through a gate into the large public car park. Walk diagonally across to the car entrance on the far side. As you walk across, you should notice a large building with flags on the top of it - this is the Hostel. PLEASE NOTECHECK-IN OPEN 5pm - 11pm (17.00 - 23.00), and by arrangement outside these hours.By FootFrom Fort William, either follow the car directions below or use the GREAT GLEN WAY which starts next to Morrisons supermarket in Fort William.By CarTravel north from Fort William on the A82, signed Inverness. After 1� miles, turn left on the A830 for MALLAIG 'The Road to the Isles'. After 1 mile, cross the canal and take a right turn into BANAVIEAbout 100m on the left, turn into the road signposted 'Banavie Quarry'.Expect to see a large building with flags on the roof; this is the hostel.By BusThere are regular buses from Fort William. The service is Number 45 to CORPACH, and runs every 20 minutes from Middle Street in Fort William. Ask to be dropped off in BANAVIE.From the bus stop, cross the main road and walk into the village of BANAVIE on the B8004.About 100m on the left, turn into the road signposted 'Banavie Quarry'.Expect to see a large building with flags on the roof - this is the hostel.By BoatMoor at the top of Neptune's Staircase, at BANAVIE TOP. Walk down the right hand side of Neptunes' Staircase and turn right immediatly after The Moorings Hotel. Once at the road, cross over and follow signs for 'Banavie Quarry'. The hostel has flags on the top of it. PLEASE NOTECHECK-IN OPEN 5pm - 11pm (17.00 - 23.00), and by arrangement outside these hours.
